Comfort in Peach With Tobi

Happy Monday!

This week I’m bringing you the second piece from Tobi in the form of this very cute peach romper. My favorite part about this piece is how loose-fitting it is but yet so stylish! I actually wore this romper to work and it was soooo comfortable. Granted, I had to unzip everytime I had to use the bathroom but I was willing to go through that for all this cuteness. The romper comes in XS to L and is true to size – I’m wearing a small for reference. I styled it with my go-to gold lace-ups from Aldo and camel bag from Forever 21.

Blush Palm Print Romper

Happy Monday! Here we are again, in yet another week. The month seems to be flying by and I wish it would slow down just a bit. I feel like I’ve been focused on work so much that the summer is slipping by right before my eyes. I need to seriously make an effort to enjoy these warm months before they pass me by. Seriously!?

Anyway, moving on to this gorgeous halter top romper via Tobi. I know most of you have worked with or have heard of Tobi but if you haven’t, they’re an online fast fashion retailer selling trendy items for the everyday girl. This palm print romper that I’m wearing is so beautiful and I felt like a sexy woman wearing it. Some of the clothing on Tobi’s site are pretty skimpy and don’t offer as much coverage as I would like and it was definitely a concern when I was browsing the site. I was able to choose a few pieces and I am pleased with everything that I received. I’m excited to share the rest of the looks with you in the next couple of weeks.

The shorts part of this romper definitely provides enough coverage, it’s long enough so that I don’t feel overexposed. The top half, however, is a little narrower than I would like but it’s so pretty that I didn’t care. One thing that I would say is that the halter top design is extremely flattering. For any ladies who have broader shoulders, go with a halter design, it does wonders for your physique!

I kept the look simple by adding black block heels (similar style here).

Floral OTS top

Hope everyone had a good 4th! As I mentioned in my last post, it’s my very favorite holiday and love the anticipation of it and I hate when it’s over. 🙂 My favorite part is the fireworks which my family and I enjoyed watching in our town in a big field. They make it a big party with music and a DJ and plenty of activities for the kids. The only disappointment is having to wake up to go to work the next day. Boo! I think the day after the July 4th should be a day off as well, don’t you? Nevertheless, it was so awesome having a 4-day weekend, and we enjoyed it to the fullest – going to the beach and enjoying the pool.

Now, let’s talk about this top (my third and final piece from Rosegal.) The top in intself is so pretty! I love the floral design and the OTS detail. However, my one hang up about it? It kept sliding up my shoulders! Why??? The first time I wore the top, I received compliments on it right away and all I wanted to say is “it’s pretty but it’s a PITA with the way it rides up my shoulders.”

I paired the top with ripped jeans and blue heeled sandals (similar linked below), plus a blue Fossil bag (similar linked below). I went with a small in the top but I think that I could have easily gone with a medium. Maybe that would have helped to alleviate the riding up issue, who knows? All in all, I would say that the floral pattern is gorgeous and goes so well with jeans but I don’t think I’d be able to wear it for more than a few minutes. Have you had issues with OTS tops constantly riding up?

When A Mini Dress Is Just Too Mini

Hey Hey! Hope everyone had a great weekend. I’m excited because it’s the week before July 4th and I’m really anticipating a great holiday. July 4th is one of my favorite holidays if not for the fireworks alone. I’m like a kid in a candy store on July 4th. So praying for excellent weather and a great time!

Today I’m bringing you this mini “dress” courtesy of Rosegal. I say dress in quotes because it is super short and let’s be honest, who wants to walk around in a top? I know that some folks would have no issues stepping out in this dress but not me. Not that I’m overly modest but I do have limits. So what to do when a dress is too short? You turn it into a top or a tunic. My first thought in styling this dress was to pair it with shorts and I think it worked pretty well despite all the tucking in that had to take place. However, I could also see this with raw edge cropped jeans, and I think that I’m actually going to style it like that next time. I will share on IG when I do. 🙂

The dress is super cute and I’m in love with the pattern and for less than $15, it’s a total steal! The material is polyester (eye-roll), and I do wish it was a better quality material but it’s not a deal breaker for me. In these pics, I will show you the actual length of the dress as well.
