If you’re like me and you have trouble finding boots due to skinny calves and ankles, keep reading. I’ll share with you a few things to keep in mind when choosing the right pair of boots.
First thing you need to look out for is the circumference of the boot. You’ll want to go for the lower numbers from 10″-14″. These Steve Madden boots actually come in lower calf sizes. I recently purchased them and I was so surprised when they fit. I’m so used to trying on boots and having so much space in the back but the fit on these were perfect! I got them in the cognac color which looks nothing like the picture online so I’m happy that I walked into the store.
Look for boots with some stretch to them. Elastic or quilt comes in handy when you’re looking for form-fitting boots with some flexibility.
Slouchy boots like these Cole Haan boots also work. I own a pair of these boots and although they’re for wider calves, they also work for narrow calves because of the style.
These Stuart Weitzman boots are also a good choice with half leather/half elastic upper.
Of course, your best route when choosing the right pair of boots is to go into the store and try them on!
