#SCSpringStyle Challenge Roundup

TGIF Lovelies!

As some of you may know, this week I participated in the #SCSpringStyle challenge that was blowing up instagram. There was a particular theme for each day of the week, and me and my Style Collective sisters, along with other participants had to post photos according to that day’s theme. I was hoping to have a mid-week blog post dedicated to the challenge, but, that was a challenge in and of itself. So, today I’m sharing my instagram roundup of the week. And there you have it! Five different outfits, five different themes! This is the most fun I’ve had doing a challenge. But, I must admit that it was a lot of work trying to come up with the different outfits but it allowed me to explore different styles and dig through forgotten clothes in my closet.

Off-the-shoulder dress with Shop the Mint

The off-the-shoulder trend is so in right now and I’ve wanted to get in on the fun for some time now. I was so happy when Shop the Mint reached out to me and I jumped at the chance to choose this off-the-shoulder dress. After receiving it in the mail and trying it on, I couldn’t be more pleased with it. The material is light and airy and it’s also fully lined which is great for such a lightweight dress. It will definitely be one of my go-to’s for spring and summer.

Let’s just stop and talk about these sandals for a minute. They are so freaking comfortable and I will be wearing the heck out of them this summer. The heel height is perfect and they’re so perfectly stylish. Love!!!

Okay, so what’s been up with the weather lately? You all have felt it. I’m in the northeast but I know that the weather has been crazy in other parts of the country. This past weekend it rained, then the temperature dropped and it was so darned windy. Where are those spring temps that we were teased with last month and even last week? I hope that they come back soon because I am sick of wearing a coat! Sigh

So, these photos were taken last week when it was a little chilly but bearable. I couldn’t help but take pics in front of this wall because, well, who doesn’t like graffiti? I blend right in, don’t I?

If you remember this post, this is the same shirt in a different color. I’m just so in love with these linen shirts, not only are they comfortable but the colors and texture are perfect for spring. I know I’ll be getting some serious wear out of them. As you can see, I’m wearing the exact same scarf from the last post with the yellow and it also matches perfectly with the blue (thanks mom!) – it’s a win-win. 🙂 Do  you have any tops that you’re just in love with that you can’t stop wearing? These shirts are it for me.

CHAMBRAY DRESS WITH ESHAKTI

Is everyone ready for Easter? Got any special plans? I personally don’t have any plans except for a family dinner which should be fun!

As you may have noticed, I recently redesigned my blog. It’s still a work in progress but I would love to know your thoughts on the new design. 🙂

Now on to the outfit!

You know that feeling when you find a piece of clothing and you immediately fall in love with it? That’s how I feel about this boyfriend button-down. I purchased this shirt online from the GAP and I actually got it in two colors. It’s loose-fitting and since it doesn’t have a straight hem, I tucked the front and left the back hanging. I’ve never worn a shirt this way but I love the look! The color of the shirt is perfect for spring and since its linen, it’s nice and lightweight so that I can wear it well it into the warmer months. In the last photo, I switched to flats to show how easily you can dress this look down for a relaxed look; and the shoes match, so that’s a plus! I must say that I’m super pleased with this purchase and I can’t wait to style it in different ways. The scarf is a loaner from my mom (I’m hoping she’ll let me keep it, wink wink.) The jeans and pumps are older purchases but I’ve linked similar styles below.
