It’s been a minute since I’ve been on the blog. It feels good to be back! Not sure how long it will last but I’ve missed it.

Before I get into anything, I would just like to say that if any of you is feeling overwhelmed with life, your job situation, family situation, just remember that there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel. I’ve had some life lessons this past week – things I already knew but had to be reminded of. One thing’s for sure, the energy you put out there is exactly what you will get back. I was in a funk for a while but once I decided to flip the script and change the energy, things started to change as if a light bulb was suddenly turned on. Life will always throw you curveballs, it’s up to you how you handle the situation. I know it’s hard when you’re in the moment because that’s all you can focus on but it helps to take a step back, breathe and think about how far you’ve come. Think about every bad experience you’ve had and ask yourself, “how did I get out of that situation or did that situation last?” Anyway, that’s it for my ramblings but I had to get that off my chest.

I can’t begin to tell you how obsessed I am with this ruffle blouse. I love tops that are a bit loose and a little dramatic and this one fits the bill. The top is a bit sheer so you will need to wear a camisole of some sort underneath. I styled it with dark blue denim jeans (similar here) that I wear to death, and I absolutely love the pairing.

I wanted to offset the blue tones a bit so I added these gold metallic heels and I think that they complemented the look so well. (The black is linked but scroll through for all color options).
