Princess Vibes/Two-Piece Dress x The Shopping Bag

Happy Monday Loves!

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! Last week for me was real. After coming back from vacation in Jamaica, it was basically go, go, go! I went back to work the next day and you all know how difficult it is not having a rest day in between. I have been exhausted all week. Therefore, there was a lack of posts last week because I basically did not have it in me. I tried my best to keep up with everyone on IG and Twitter so at least it didn’t seem like I fell off the grid. The weekend was wonderful, however, I got some rest and had a great time with the kids and my sister in the pool, and having water balloon fights – lol. Nevertheless, I have been enjoying everyone’s posts and I do plan on catching up on blogs this week.

Now, question for you. What makes you feel beautiful? How often do you really get to dress up and feel like a princess? When you look in the mirror, do you say to yourself “I’m beautiful?” If you answered positively to all these questions, then you’re ahead of the game. We don’t all feel beautiful all the time and that’s only natural but we do need to feel it all the time even if we’re not having such a great day. This is so important for our self-esteem and is such a confidence booster. Each time we look in the mirror, we should see beauty both inside and out. We need to love ourselves enough to embrace our flaws and accept ourselves for who we are.

Which takes me to this two-piece dress. It did just that for me…it made me feel like a princess. I had the opportunity of collaborating with The Shopping Bag and when I saw this dress, I had to have it. It did take quite some time for me to get this post up because when I first received the dress, both the top and bottom were too small for me. I ordered a small which is my normal size but unfortunately it runs pretty small and I had to exchange it for a medium. So, if you’re interested in ordering this dress, size up.

The dress features a crop top with a high-waisted skirt with pink petal appliqué over the entire dress. The look of the dress is just darling – I am so in love with it. It’s perfect for a formal event such as a wedding or an evening cocktail party. An especially great thing about this dress is because of the high-waist, it is extremely flattering for those of us who are still working on that six-pack, hee hee.
