I’m a little late with this post but I hope everyone had a great long weekend and hopefully no one had to work. This weekend was pretty fast-paced for us. First off, it was my little one’s 7th birthday on Saturday, 5/28 and the hubs and I took him to play laser tag with friends followed by lunch and then back at the house to cut the cake. Have you ever been in a car with screaming kids? Whoo boy! But, we got through it and the little guy was so happy and that’s all that matters.
On Sunday, we tried to get in a photoshoot (didn’t love the photos so that was a bust), followed by errands and then the beach. The day started out so warm and sunny but but on our way to the beach, the sky became so overcast followed by fog and the temperature dropped. We were like, “what happened to the sun?” Nevertheless, since we were already headed in that direction, we continued with our plans and enjoyed the beach for a bit (the kids loved this most of all, I was mostly cold).
Now, I’ve been meaning to get this post up for a while now but you know, things happen so better late than never. This particular photoshoot was a special one because it was different. I’ve wanted to do a beach shoot for some time now and my friend graciously agreed to help me out with it. I knew that I wanted to wear a white dress so I found this beach halter dress on Amazon and it was exactly the look I was going for. Along with the floral crown purchased at H&M, I created the perfect beach shoot and I totally felt like a princess. I didn’t have an official wedding myself so what a perfect way to create a dream beach wedding look? Not only is it the perfect look for a summer beach wedding but also for a white wedding where all the guests wear white. You know, like the ones in the Dominican Republic (I’ve always wanted to go to one of those).
