I hope everyone had a great weekend!
Personally, I put my my schedule aside and spent quality time with the kids. I hosted play dates for them on Saturday, and on Sunday, I went bike riding with my little one and then hung out at the playground while dad helped my older son with homework. We had so much fun running around and playing on the swings that we were giddy by the time we left. I felt so exhilarated just being with them and seeing them happy.
I was so excited with the temperatures increasing last week that I had to break out the bright colors. To me, warm weather means bright spring colors so I couldn’t wait!
Transitioning from winter to spring can be as easy as adding a colorful handbag or shoes, or as simple as switching to a lightweight colorful coat. In the pictures below, I accented my outfit with color in two ways. First with the orange handbag and over-the-knee boots and second with the bright pink pumps. Now, I was never one to wear bright colored shoes but I couldn’t pass on these pumps. I got them from Macy’s and they come in a range of different colors. They’re super comfortable and the suede upper is so soft. The bag is an oldie but goodie. It’s an Elliott Lucca bag that I purchased from Nordstrom a few years ago and I usually bring it out of hibernation as soon as spring rolls around (I linked similar ones below). Both the bag and the pumps added the perfect pop that I needed to this outfit.
The lace-up top that I’m wearing is a new favorite of mine. I ordered it from Banana Republic a couple of months ago and as fast as I received it that’s how quickly they were sold out of the stores. However, I did link a few similar tops below.
In the following photos, I’m wearing the pink pumps which adds such a great accent to the overall look. It also works with the orange handbag which gives it a great spring feel.
