Happy Monday! It’s time get back to work, isn’t it? ๐ After being at home for two weeks, it’s so sad thinking about it. Anyway, I wanted to share with you how I spent my New Year’s Eve just to prolong the holidays a bit. ๐
Many folks go out on New Year’s Eve and party their hearts out while others become disappointed when they make plans and they don’t quite turn out as planned. Others like me stay in and make it a family day.
We were originally supposed to visit my brother and his family in Maryland but I was under the weather and my 6-year old was getting over a cold so we decided to stay back while my mom and sister took the trip as planned.
Honestly, I’m so happy we stayed behind because we needed the time to recoup after having a full house over the Christmas holidays.
We started the day by having a nice brunch. I tried eggs benedict for the first time – it was delish! Then we took the kids to the park so they could run around and let off steam. We wrapped up the night by watching one of my all time favorites “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” How did you spend your New Year’s Eve? Did you stay in or go out?

I only had an extra day and a half off in addition to my normal weekend and I don’t want to go back! How the Grinch Stole Christmas is a favorite of mine. I spent New Years at home playing games with my boyfriend. We got so wrapped up in one we didn’t realize it was the new year until 12:15 haha

Loving those boots + that blanket scarf!! And the eggs benedict looks delicious – one of my faves! I actually stayed in for NYE this year too. It was really nice to lay low. ๐ I hope your son is feeling better! XOXO

NYE is definitely overrated. I’d take a night in with the family than a night out. Although going out is pretty fun too. ๐ Matthew is all better, thanks Amanda. ๐

Aw, glad he’s well! And I hear you — I love to get dressed up + have a fun night out, but they totally rob you on NYE! And it’ so crowded + crazy… no matter where you go! lol

My husband told me that they were charging $400 per person at the Olive Garden in Times Square! That’s nuts!
