Hello Lovelies!
It’s about that time again where I take stock of all the good things that occurred this week. So let’s get right to it.
This past weekend, I had brunch with my lovely friend Hope. I missed her birthday celebration at the vineyards so I made it a point to take her out. We ate at this lovely cafe called The Morning Rose Cafe and had such a nice meal while engaging in good conversation.
Our meal started off with these delicious homemade corn muffins with a side of butter and jelly. This wasn’t my first time eating here so I was definitely looking forward to this yummy goodness. 🙂
Then it was on to the really good stuff! I had a waffle with cinnamon butter and scrambled eggs.
Hope had Fried Banana Crepes with a side of home fries. Yum!
We washed these down with tea and coffee and so ended our brunch!
That same day, I paid a visit to Target and decided to pick up a game of Monopoly so that I could introduce it the boys and also re-acquaint myself with the game. This was one of my favorite childhood games and I’m hoping that the kids can make some good memories playing it as well. So far, my 9-year has asked to play a few times. Yay! 🙂
You may recall me mentioning that I went in for carpal tunnel surgery on Monday. So, you may associate that with pain and recovery, and yes, that’s exactly what it is. BUT, a few good things came out of it. First, that pulling and pain that I felt in my neck and shoulder…GONE!
Second, I was forced to slow my butt down. I was able to watch a few foreign films with my husband and I even watched some animated films with the kids. I watched Frozen (again) on my own because they weren’t having it, haha. I love that movie…sorry.
Third, and most importantly, I rested. Oh, how I slept! It felt wonderful.
I’m working from home for a few days and typing with my left hand only, and it does become tiring. So I have to take breaks and I do feel more comfortable doing that at home than in the office.
I’m looking forward to the weekend so that I can rest this left arm but for now I must keep on pushing on.
I encourage you all to stay positive. Despite what you may be going through, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Focus on tomorrow, forget about what happened yesterday. As always, thank you for reading.
Until next time!
Xoxo,
