Have you ever found that one scent that you fell in love with at first sniff? Well, that’s how I feel about the Chloe perfume.
I’ve been eyeing this perfume since last year, walking in and out of Macys, always giving it a side glance. Once in a while, I’d stop and sniff it just to revel in its scent.
Now, I was holding off because 1) It is not the cheapest perfume out there so I had to justify dropping down some serious change (over $100) for a 1.7oz bottle; and 2) I still had to finish my Burberry Body perfume which by the way is also a really beautiful soft scent.
There’s probably a term for this but my skin does not do well with strong scents. So the stronger scents like Flower Bomb, Marc Jacobs Daisy (Daisy Dream is now their lighter scent), Burberry Brit, Chanel (all of them) and the list goes on, just do not work for me. When I ran out of the Burberry Body, I went back to Jean Paul Gaultier which is another strong scent but it works on my skin for some reason, though a bit overpowering. So a little goes a long way.
Now back to the Chloe perfume. One of my coworkers uses this fragrance and I swear, if I could follow her around all day I would but, you know, I do have to work sometime. 🙂 From the moment, I smelled it on her, I knew I must have it. But sheer willpower made me wait, and I’m so happy that I held out because I can now really appreciate it.
When I walked into Macy’s, I made a bee line right for the counter where the Chloe perfume was located. Now, it was a toss up between that and the Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream. There was a free bag with the purchase of the Marc Jacobs perfume and I’m a sucker for free stuff. I mean, who isn’t? But…
I wasn’t swayed. I stuck to my guns and I’m so happy I did because guess what? The salesgirl gave me a free 5oz body lotion (an $85 value) for free! Yes, as a free gift. The little girl inside me did a few somersaults and fist pumps once she told me that. So that totally made my day!
This perfume has a beautiful floral scent but light enough to not be overpowering and it lasts all day! It’s described as “femine, sophisticated and chic” and that’s exactly what it is.
See the wonderful description below from macys.com.
- Top Notes: pink peony, freesia, lychee
- Heart Notes: magnolia flower, lilly of the valley, rose
- Base Notes: cedarwood, amber, honey
I love to hear what scents other people really like so please share your favorites with me. Does anyone use Chloe right now? How do you like it? Also, another fragrance that I was interested in was Juicy Couture, does anyone use this? Let me know your thoughts.
Cheers!

I’ve actually never really been into buying perfume (I always forget to actually use it), but I’ve been meaning to for the longest time! It’s just so hard to buy online by the descriptions, and I never have the time to go in store and smell a million different scents haha!

Haha. Well, if you ever get around to buying perfume, the Chloe or Burberry body are great scents to start with.

The 90-day challenge is still on but remember it was for clothing and accessories. I ran out of perfume, this had to be done. 🙂
