Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was busy, busy, busy. If you followed me on Snap, you’d see that we had family visiting for the weekend so we met up in the city for dinner on Saturday after they had a day of sightseeing. On Sunday, we had a family BBQ with lots of food and drinks. It was such a fun weekend but also an exhausting one. So basically, I need another day off! How about you? How did you spend your weekend?
Okay, so let’s get right to it.
I’ve always loved shirt dresses but could never find the right one until Camixa came along. If you haven’t heard of Camixa, they’re an Australian based direct-to-consumer company which specializes in good quality shirts. They offer a range of styles from vintage style plaids to fine natural linens.
A shirt-dress is the perfect piece of clothing to dress up or dress down. You can add a belt for a more fitted look or wear it loose as I’m wearing it in these photos. It can also take you across seasons – just add a sweater and booties and it can take you into fall. Or, add leggings or tights with riding boots for the winter season.
When I first received this Bia shirt-dress, I was so impressed by the way it was packaged. It was neatly folded with cardboard inserts to keep the shape. Upon first touch, I thought that the material was of good quality. It’s also lightweight so it’s perfect for the summer. I chose to wear the dress loose rather than belted because it’s a high-low style so it’s a bit short in the front and a belt would make it even shorter. I also prefer a looser fit. I accessorized it with this necklace that I purchased from Romwe a while back and am just now wearing, along with these Dolce Vita sandals and Nine West crossbody bag (sold out).
What are your thoughts on shirt-dresses?
